New video footage shows Puma fishing for trout

The Puma (Cougar, Mountain Lion) feeds mostly on ungulates like deer or elk over most of it’s range. Sometimes other animals are killed like beavers or large birds like turkey.

Fish is very rare on the menu and not even mentioned in most books about Pumas.

Now a video shows a Puma fishing for trout in the Blackfoot River in Montana. This is extremely rare and might be the first time this has been filmed.
